Thank you for choosing Rapid City RV Park & Campground as your vacation destination. By making a reservation or staying with us, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. These policies are designed to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all guests.
Check-In & Check-Out
Please confirm all reservation details. Contact the front desk immediately if corrections are needed.
- RV/Tent Check-In: 12:00 PM | Check-Out: 11:00 AM
- Hotel/Cabin Check-In: 2:00 PM | Check-Out: 11:00 AM
- Early check-ins or late departures require prior approval from the front desk.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the arrival date.
- Reservations canceled before the 48-hour window will receive a full refund minus a $20 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will incur a 50% charge of the total stay.
Sturgis Bike Week Cancellation Policy
A 2-night deposit is required for all Bike Week reservations. To cancel your reservation, a 31-day advance notice is required.
- Cancellations made more than 31 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund minus a $20 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 31 days of arrival will be charged 50% of the total stay as a cancellation fee.
- Shortening your stay during Sturgis is considered a cancellation and follows the same rules and timeframes.
Discount Policy
All discounts are not valid during Sturgis Bike Week. Discounts apply only to the first 6 nights of your stay during all other times of the year.
General Rules
- Please respect your neighbors’ space. Report any issues to the office immediately.
- Grills on stands are allowed for cooking.
- No hot tubs or jacuzzis.
- All trash must be placed in designated dumpsters.
- Do not climb hillsides or walk through occupied sites (per South Dakota law).
- Generators are not permitted.
- Guests are visitors and may not claim residency.
RV Spots
- Keep campsites clean and tidy.
- A $25 fee applies for excessive trash or pet waste.
- One clothesline per RV.
- One tent per RV spot is allowed (add-on fee applies).
Hotel Rooms
- No smoking of any kind. A $100 fee applies for smoking in rooms or cabins.
- A $100 damage fee applies for excessive wear or damages.
- No excessive noise permitted.
Cabins
- Guests must provide their own bedding and towels.
- Cabins use the community bath/shower house.
- No smoking of any kind. A $100 fee applies for violations.
- A $100 damage fee applies for excessive wear or damages.
- No excessive noise permitted.
Campsites
- No excess storage at campsites.
- A $25 fee applies for excessive trash or pet waste.
- One tent and one vehicle per site (add a second tent for $10).
- Tent stays limited to 7 days maximum.
- Campers use the community bath/shower house.
Illegal Dumping
- Do not dispose of large items such as awnings, mattresses, tires, toilets, or boxes in dumpsters.
- Contact the front desk for proper disposal ($20 fee applies).
- Violators will be fined $100.
Pets
- Pets are welcome (except pit bulls).
- Aggressive animals are not allowed.
- Pets must be on a 6 ft. leash and accompanied by their owner.
- Pets may not be left unattended outside.
- Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately.
- Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
- Any animal bite or attack results in immediate eviction without refund.
- Proof of vaccinations must be available upon request.
Connection Hoses
- All hoses must have leak-free connections.
- Septic hoses must use a proper donut or plastic connector (per South Dakota law).
- The park is not responsible for damaged hoses.
- Replace the sewer cap before leaving.
Alcohol & Smoking
- No smoking or alcohol within 20 ft. of any building.
- No smoking in the pool area.
- Cigarette butts must be properly disposed of; violations may result in removal from the park.
Vehicles
- Do not drive on grass or through empty campsites.
- Do not park on empty sites.
- Speed limit: 8 MPH.
- All vehicles must be parked within the assigned campsite.
- Vehicle washing or oil changes require approval.
- Motorcycles must be driven quietly.
- Oversized vehicles must park in the upper parking lot.
Children
- Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Parents are responsible for damages caused by their children.
Pool Rules
- No lifeguard on duty – swim at your own risk.
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- No glass containers, pets, or smoking inside the pool area.
- No diving, running, or water balloons.
- Proper swimwear and swim diapers are required.
- Barbecue grills are not allowed in the pool area.
Campfires
- Campfires are allowed when conditions permit.
- Fires must be attended at all times and not exceed 3 ft. in height.
- Keep a water source nearby.
- Fires must be fully extinguished before nightfall.
- Do not place ashes or embers in plastic trash cans until completely cool.
Personal Conduct
- Disorderly conduct, excessive intoxication, nudity, loud or obscene language, or offensive apparel are prohibited.
- If police are called for a disturbance, the campsite must be vacated immediately without refund.
- All guests must comply with city, state, and federal laws.
WiFi
- WiFi repeaters are prohibited.
- Our mesh network provides full coverage; repeaters interfere with service.
Prohibited Items
- Firearms and fireworks are strictly prohibited on park property.

Winter RV Camping Agreement
This agreement governs RV stays during the winter season (October 1 – April 30). By reserving a winter spot, the camper agrees to the following terms:
1. Amenities
- Water, sewer, electric, WiFi, pull-through site, and snow plowing (if necessary).
- Gift shop, bathhouse, and laundry facilities are closed during this period.
2. Rates and Payment (Off Season)
- Monthly Rate:
- $950/month for October.
- $1250/month for November, December, & January.
- $950/month for February, March, & April.
- Stays beyond 30 days billed at prorated daily rates.
- A credit card is required on file for monthly billing.
- Deposit: Half of the first month’s rent due upon reservation.
- Cancellation: Two-week notice required. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled within two weeks.
3. Special Conditions
- Regular season rates apply for days before October 1 or after May 1.
- After May 1, sites open to the public. Advance notice required to extend stay.
- Shorter stays (under 30 days) may be considered individually.
4. Residency & Ejection
- Staying at the park does not constitute legal residency.
- The park reserves the right to evict guests for any rule violations.
5. Winter Rules
- When temperatures fall below 50°F, disconnect water hoses after filling tanks.
- Contact park staff if unable to disconnect; two free emergency assists included, then $20 per assist.
- Damage to hydrants will incur repair costs, minimum $1,000 (not to exceed actual repair cost).
6. Regular Season Rules
- All regular park rules and policies apply during winter months.
